Educational policy

Our nursery School “Il Cucciolo” is continually renewing itself and its approach to the care and development of the child, while also encouraging its teachers to seek new didactic techniques through training and professional development.

Our private Nursery School is recognized as part of the National State nursery school system with Ministerial Decree 25/06/2015, no.83, satisfying requirements of the State system.

One of our primary goals is to offer an excellent education with adaptable hours to meet the needs of families. We have established a fascinating and inspiring climate, designed to enhance the capability of the individual child through learning experiences.

The English language is learned through play under the careful guidance of our mother-tongue educators.

Our educational strategy is based on John Dewey’s theory: "we learn what we live.” The philosophy is enacted at our school by immersing children in language experiences via exploration and discovery, while encouraging them to learn through creativity thereby stimulating their desire for knowledge.

Essentially, our target is to offer an agreeable climate, where conditions are conducive to learning, permitting the child’s knowledge and interest to grow naturally.

In our didactic project the child comes first, this approach permits the child to take control of his/her learning, giving him/her the liberty to explore topics of interest.

Our Nursery School “Il Cucciolo” accepts children who have reached the age of three before April 30th and we propose the following objectives and criteria of an excellent school:

  • Offering a peaceful and sensible climate, capable of caring for the psychophysical development of the child in addition to his/her social abilities;
  • Employing profoundly equipped and proficient school personnel to ensure a steady and welcoming climate that mirrors the child’s family environment and creates, within the school, an extended family;
  • Employing new and efficient instructive models;
  • Offering close contact with families, welcoming their participation and confrontation.

Our method, shared by our teaching team, sees the child endowed with potential, capabilities and at the centre of the learning process, where he/she is allowed to express him/herself and leave his/her own imprint.
