Teaching and English are my two passions. Seeing my students interact and learn the beautiful English language gives me endless pride.
I feel confident that the young studentss at the English Primary School in Massa are in more than capable hands; I am incredibly proud of having the responsibility of teaching the future leaders of this world.

Grazie a questa scuola ho la possibilità di praticare un metodo didattico molto avanzato grazie all’utilizzo di strumenti tecnologici presenti in classe come la LIM-Lavagna Interattiva Multimediale e laboratori didattici che rendono le lezioni interattive e creative assicurando il processo di crescita dei nostri alunni.
Hello everyone! My name is Kristin Briggs and I am a New York State Certified teacher from Ontario, Canada. I have over a decade of teaching experience in Canada, South Korea and Italy. I am enthusiastic about education and passionate about making every student discover their full potential. My teaching methods are modern and dynamic, making sure that no matter the learning style of the students they will be able to take away from the lesson what they need. I am always open to discovering and utilizing new teaching techniques and strongly feel that it is important for everyone to be lifelong learners. A teacher’s job goes beyond the subjects they teach, they are also responsible for creating and fostering a space where students can feel comfortable to explore, make mistakes and be themselves. I look forward to sharing my love of teaching with you all.

Per me insegnare significa fare posto ai pensieri dei bambini, ai loro sentimenti, alle loro attività. Significa saper assumere come punto di partenza la “loro” esperienza. Renderli autonomi e consapevoli delle loro capacità.

Io credo che il ruolo dell'insegnante sia proprio questo, fornire gli strumenti necessari ai bambini affinche' imparino ad imparare da soli così da poter spiccare il volo e scoprire il mondo, ognuno a modo suo.

What I love the most about my job is seeing the results of my hard job. It fills my heart with pride and joy when my students start using English in real life or pass the exams they were so scared of... Meeting your students after years, having a quick chat in English you remember the first steps you helped them make together...
With a degree in Drama Performance and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching English as an Additional Language/Dialect I feel very much at home teaching Arts at the English Primary School in Massa. I love engaging the children in the arts and exploring their potential. Taking a hands on approach, the sky is the limit!
